Would you like to try out what it feels like to sleep a night in nature under the open sky? While resting in a hammock – dubbed by some as the cradle of gods – you’ll feel like lying on someone’s lap as you relax and let your thoughts wander back to the carefree days of childhood. Close your eyes, and you’ll hear the wind rustling in the reefs and waves lapping against the shoreline rocks. You’ll fall asleep amid the gentle tapping of summer rain, only to wake up to birdsong in the morning. On this excursion you won’t go far, and yet you’re making the longest trip, a journey into your inner self.
This is a great opportunity to try out sleeping a night in a hammock in safe and easy circumstances. You won’t have to go far, wander long distances or carry loads of stuff around with you. The site for setting up camp is on a peaceful yard on the lakeshore, close to nature. You’ll be instructed to choose a suitable spot and suspend the hammock safely. Once the guide has made sure that all is well, he/she’ll bid you good night, and you’ll get to enjoy a great experience and refreshing sleep.

Summer kitchen with firewood, campfire coffee pot, a frying pan and a pot for open fire, an electric hotplate and a pot, a coffeemaker and filter bags, electric kettle and tableware

Use of a mosquito-netted hammock (weight limit 120 kg)

Starting time and point
The excursion starts at 6.00 pm and we’ll convene at the reception of Jokiniemen Matkailu, address Jokiniementie 62, 71910 Alapitkä. The check-out is by 12 noon the next day in accordance with the guide’s instructions.
Group size
An excursion can be attended by a maximum of six persons.
